Long Eaton Police officers have issued an appeal for information after two men became involved in a fight in the town centre. A Police officer has been assaulted whilst responding to an incident of anti-social behaviour involving e-bike and moped users in Long Eaton. The name of a spectacular new bridge across the Erewash Canal has been officially unveiled ahead of its opening next month. It will be called West Park Bridge – since it connects the centre of Long Eaton to the town’s much-loved sprawling park. Rail travellers faced significant disruption at the weekend with CrossCountry left to encourage passengers to check before making journeys, after a power outage affected its control centre.
