Public reports lead to response over sales of illegal products

Police officers from Long Eaton have partnered with Trading Standards officials to carry out a visit to a shop in the town. The operation on Friday 19th September came after numerous reports were received from members of the public that the shop had been selling illegal products. During the visit, officers located numerous packs of illegal cigarettes and tobacco, all of which were seized as part of an investigation. Arrest made after Police officer assaulted in Long Eaton following response to e-bike and moped anti-social behaviour

A man has been arrested in Kirk Hallam after a joint operation in response to an incident in Long Eaton in which a police officer was assaulted. At around 8:15pm on Wednesday 9th September, an on-duty officer attended the scene at at a drive through restaurant on Waverley Street to investigate the matter. Trams for Derby campaigners ‘left in dark’

Campaigners looking to bring a tram network across Derby claim they have been “left in the dark” over their proposals. The Light Rail Transit Association (LRTA) launched its vision to deliver a tram system for the city in April this year.
