06/07/2021: The Office of Rail and Road’s (ORR) annual rail consumer report shows that it has worked constructively across industry to deliver improvements for passengers, particularly on refund rights and accessibility, despite the challenges of the past year. The regulator also sets out its focus for the coming year on locking in these improvements through monitoring and enforcing adherence to its accessibility requirements.

02/07/2021: This year’s 100th anniversary of the Royal British Legion (RBL) and Erewash’s mining heritage are the focus of floral displays now in place in Ilkeston and Long Eaton.
26/06/2021: Long Eaton Sea Cadets are looking for new members aged 10 to 12.  The group is involved in a varety of exciting activities including Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and also stage water based activities such as kayaking, rowing and sailing.

24/06/2021: Walk-in Covid-19 jabs for all adults will be available from Friday 25 to Monday 28 June in Derby and Derbyshire as part of the Super Weekend for vaccinations, where all eligible adults can get their first or second jab.

18/06/2021: Erewash Primary Care Network are running drop-in clinics for people to receive their first dose Covid-19 vaccine at Long Eaton Health Centre on Saturday 19th June and Saturday 26th June and at Littlewick Medical Centre in Ilkeston on Saturday 26th June.
16/06/2021: A further seven contactless payment machines have been installed in some Erewash town centre car parks to make life easier for drivers.
