A joint police and fire investigation into a derelict building fire on Heanor Road in Ilkeston has concluded the most probable cause to be deliberate. Investigators believe the fire most likely started when a naked flame came into contact with combustible materials. Two men have been charged after a man was robbed in Long Eaton. The incident happened when a man aged in his 20s had his bag containing mobile phone, power pack and vape stolen whilst on Tamworth Road at about 10pm on Saturday 30th May. Disqualified driver identified after stop check in Long Eaton

Police officers in Long Eaton have identified a motorist who was driving despite being disqualified. The stop of the Ford Mondeo on 1st June in the area, resulted in a vehicle and roadside check being carried out. The driver was reported for the offence and the vehicle was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
