A joint police and fire investigation into a derelict building fire on Heanor Road in Ilkeston has concluded the most probable cause to be deliberate. Investigators believe the fire most likely started when a naked flame came into contact with combustible materials. Simon Spencer’s offending spanned several months between January and June this year in which he targeted major supermarket chains. Two men have been charged after a man was robbed in Long Eaton. The incident happened when a man aged in his 20s had his bag containing mobile phone, power pack and vape stolen whilst on Tamworth Road at about 10pm on Saturday 30th May.
