On Sunday 8th March, Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) celebrated the achievements of six new on-call firefighters at a pass out ceremony attended by their family and friends. Twenty-five people have been arrested after drugs, weapons and cash were taken off the streets of Erewash during a targeted operation. Focusing on drug dealing in the area, both uniformed and plain clothes officers stopped and searched 52 people and 13 vehicles – leading to nine weapons, including a knuckle duster, knives, and a baton being seized.
