A local developer has stepped in to help restore a Long Eaton landmark after submitting an application for planning permission. ALB Group purchased Bridge Mills in Derby Road, Long Eaton in 2021 with a view to transforming the three-storey, former lace factory into residential development. CrossCountry trains Service Delivery Director Nick Westcott, has issued a statement after the CrossCountry network was severely impacted by Storm Goretti with several routes not in operation this morning. In 2025, the Your Air Ambulance charity flew almost 1,000 missions in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, providing care from the air to those who need help in the fastest time possible.
