Positive stop-search by Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Police Officers

Plain-clothes officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team have taken action after a patrol in and around the town led to suspicious activity being identified. On Bonsall Street, officers observed a brief interaction between two males, and believed that a drug deal was taking place. Male charged for inflicting grievous bodily harm

A Long Eaton man has been remanded into custody until mid-February after local Police received an emergency call reporting that a male had been assaulted in the town. Officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team responded to the 999 call on the evening of Saturday 17th January, attending the scene on Grasmere Road. New bridge is a big deal

Work has started to build a bridge over the Erewash Canal in Long Eaton which will be a vital link for residents of the town. The Britannia Mills bridge, which is near Bennett Street, is one of the Government funded Long Eaton Town Deal projects. Two schools in Erewash have been included in a list of schools across Derbyshire which are set to receive a share of £4.5m towards the cost of creating more space and making the learning environment better for students.
