12/02/2021: A spokesperson for the East Midlands Chamber has said that investing in key infrastructure projects like HS2 are crucial to rebuilding the confidence of investors in the post-Covid world.
11/02/2021: Five community groups in Erewash have received a slice of nearly £7,000 of funding thanks to the council’s latest round of community grant awards.  One of the successful recipients, Erewash Sound, who are based in Vernon Street, Cotmanhay, has received £2,000 and will use the funding to update their servers and the use of a modern operating system.  It will also help fund Erewash Sound’s Training Academy.

25/01/2021: In a move to counter lobbying in favour of HS2, opposition groups in Erewash, including the Labour, Green, Liberal Democrat Parties, and an Independent are joining Stop HS2 Erewash and Stop HS2 Trowell in a Stop HS2 campaign to stand up for residents and businesses set to lose their homes and livelihoods as a result of the latest HS2b Eastern Leg design.
