05/12/2023: A campaign to boost the wellbeing of residents and get them fitter has made healthy progress this year, according to the Erewash council team behind the drive.
21/11/2023: The Long Eaton Silver Prize Training Band rehearses every Monday between 7pm and 8pm at the Derby Road Trade Centre, Sandiacre. All ages and abilities are welcome, tuition is free and instruments are also loaned without charge.

17/11/2023: On Thursday 16th Novemeber, police officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team, aided by officers from the Dog Section, Licensing officers and Task Force, carried out a Warrant on an address in Sandiacre as part of a joint operation.
The operation was also carried out with partner agencies including the Local Authority Environmental Health team.
A number of items were recovered including stolen property. A male has been interviewed concerning the items as enquiries continue.
26/10/2023: A man who broke his partner’s nose by kicking her in the face during a campaign of abuse has been jailed.
19/10/2023: Five people have been handed Criminal Behaviour Orders following instances of criminal and anti-social behaviour in the Long Eaton area.
13/10/2023: A Sandiacre woman has pledged to, once again, remember her late father by sponsoring a light on a Christmas Tree at Treetops Hospice.
22/09/2023: Officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team have participated in a training session to support a new group of eager Sandiacre residents who have volunteered and formed their very own Community Speed Watch Group.
08/09/2023: Two men have been charged in connection with a robbery in Long Eaton.
25/08/2023: The Department of Education has an exciting blueprint for the redevelopment of Friesland School and to make this happen wants to take back control of the entire campus including Sandiacre Friesland Sports Centre.
24/08/2023: Erewash MP Maggie Throup has hit back at plans put forward by Labour-controlled Erewash Borough Council to defund Parish Councils by tens of thousands of pounds by scrapping the Concurrent Grant.
