Having picked up a number of radio industry and business awards over the last few years, Erewash Sound has added yet another to the tally after one of its newest presenters was nominated as a finalist in the 2025 Community Radio Awards then picked up an award within the final three.

On June 6th, locally-directed radio disappeared further as a regional radio station put an end to its breakfast show, to be replaced by one single nationwide show for England and Wales instead from 9th June, punctuated only by relevant local news, travel and weather.
You never know who is listening to you - hiccup...
Once the microphone is switched on, a presenter can lay themselves open to whatever happens in those few moments but one Erewash Sound presenter found that even a late night show isn't off peak enough to prevent him from having an unfortunate moment reported upon by local media.
