Kedleston Hall radio edit Erewash Sound
A historic Derbyshire stately home has opened its doors to Diwali, bringing culture, heritage and community together in a celebration of inclusion. Inspired by Derby’s large South Asian community and Kedleston Hall’s own historical connections with Asia, the celebration aims to make the National Trust more accessible and welcoming, while providing a space for people to explore, share and celebrate cultural traditions. In this interview snippet, Kirsty Corbett of the Arts & Toast podcast chats with Morgan Feely and Bina Vasdev as they share their story behind bringing Diwali celebrations to the National Trust property, from an initial conversation over coffee to an ambitious programme of festivities designed to welcome and engage the wider community.
