A group of users of Elvaston Castle Country Park have come together to express their concerns over a County Council Masterplan for Elvaston Castle Country Park.
St Mary’s Church – Draycott has a Church Hall which is available for hire.
The opening of the new railway footbridge over the Midland Main Line will give visitors and local people much improved access to the magnificent 19th century wrought iron Bennerley Viaduct. The footpath from the Erewash Canal to the viaduct is now open, enabling visitors to access and appreciate the longest wrought iron viaduct in the British Isles.
Derbyshire residents interested in helping to shape the future of the county’s libraries are being encouraged to get involved and join a local focus group to find out more.

Erewash Sound is pleased to present the latest round up of news from the Ockbrook Redhill branch of the WI.  Tessa Brooks reports for the very last time ahead of handing of the role to Sue Maclaine.  The team behind the scenes at Erewash Sound would like to wish Tessa all the best in her new role and look forward to working with her successor over the coming months.  In the meaning, the May update follows.
