Support Erewash Sound

Erewash Citizens Advice Bureau is open at 62 South Street, Ilkeston, from Monday to Friday 10:00am to 2:00pm except Wednesday when the office is closed. The telephone number is 0844 499 4196.

The 1st Draycott Rainbows meet on Tuesdays from 5.30pm until 6.30pm in the Methodist Church Hall in Market Street. They would welcome any new girls aged between 5-7 who would like to join. For more information contact Rose, 1st Draycott Rainbow Guider, on 01332 872298.

Sixteen people have already joined Ockbrook, Borrowash & Draycott First Responders Group after a call for volunteers. Organised by the Church Wilne Rotary Club and trained by the East Midlands Ambulance Service, volunteers are equipped with and trained on the use of essential medical equipment to be able to respond early to localised calls for help before paramedics arrive. To set up the new group, the Rotary Club will raise funds for the kit required.

Draycott Methodist Church in Market Street has a hall available to small groups during the week. If interested please contact 01332 287258 for further details.

The 4th Ilkeston Scout Group holds activities at Christ Church Hall on Vicarage Street, Cotmanhay, every Wednesday during term time. A number of adult volunteering opportunities are available whilst supporting Beavers (aged 6-8) from 5:30pm - 6:30pm, Cubs (aged 8-10) from 6:45pm - 8:15pm and Scouts (aged 10-14) from 7:30pm - 9:00pm.
