East Midlands Airport has once again lit up its air traffic control tower in support of the Treetops Hospice Light up a Life appeal.

Knitted poppies are among hundreds that have transformed the grounds of Erewash’s museum ahead of remembrance weekend – in a spectacular tribute masterminded by a stalwart of the heritage hub’s Social Stitching group.
Charities and volunteer organisations are being offered up to £1,000 to provide havens for Erewash residents seeking refuge from the cold this winter.
Voluntary, community and charity organisations are being encouraged to apply for a grant from Derbyshire County Council to open a Warm and Welcoming Space this winter.
