More than 1,000 e-scooters have been taken off the streets of Derbyshire since a zero-tolerance crackdown launched to address public concerns. Derbyshire Police has been trailblazing a robust ‘seize and dispose’ policy since 1st November 2024 to tackle the growing menace of illegal and dangerously ridden e-scooters on the county’s roads and in public spaces. Thousands of women across Derby and Derbyshire who have not attended cervical screening appointments will be offered a home HPV testing kit as part of a national roll-out.
