A patient died and “lasting, real harm” was caused to more than 100 people due to poor reading of heart scans by a former Derby doctor over seven years. On top of this, more than 361 patients encountered potential low harm and a further 379 patients faced failures over their cardiac scans. A “wanted” Derbyshire doctor can no longer practise medicine in the UK after drinking most of a bottle of wine while on shift in a hospital A&E, slapping a woman and driving while drunk. Regional charity Groundwork Five Counties has announced it has improved 415,964 m² of land in 2025/26, equal to 58 football fields.
