The Long Eaton Twinning Association involves tie-ups between the town and others in mainland Europe. Long Eaton is twinned with Romorantin-Lanthenay in France, and Langen in Germany. The Association is looking out for new members to get involved in exchanges and other related activities.
The Long Eaton & District Branch of the Parkinsons Disease Society meets between 2:00pm and 4:00pm twice every month with a branch meeting held on the last Thursday and a less formal 'social' meeting on the second Thursday. Long Eaton Natural History Society is appealing for new members to help with conservation in the area, and efforts to prevent developments deemed to be detrimental to local interests. The group keeps records of flora and fauna as well as retaining a record of knowledge of natural history. Long Eaton & District Art Club is seeking new members to join them at regular meetings and other activities. The club meets every Wednesday evening at Christ Church Methodist Church, Derby Road in Long Eaton. Admission to each session costs £1.50 with an additional annual membership of £15.00.
