New PC for Long Eaton SNT

Derbyshire Constabulary has announced the appointment of a new PC for the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team. PC Paul Sheldon will serve in the Long Eaton Rural District which includes Breaston, Borrowash, Draycott, Ockbrook, Risley and Stanton by Dale. A police officer for over 10 years, he has carried out most of his work so far in Derby, as a response officer before joining Erewash SNT in March this year. Car seized in Breaston after checks showed three failures and drugs find

A recent patrol carried out by Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team officers led to a vehicle being seized in Breaston. Checks on Police systems showed that the Ford vehicle had no insurance, no MOT and the driver had no licence, leading to it being seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. During the incident, officers stop searched the passengers and found a small quantity of cannabis on their person for which relevant action was taken.

Eurovision artwork king sets sights on Erewash

A highly acclaimed artist famed for his large-scale Merseyside mural celebrating Eurovision has been sizing up walls in Erewash – after being commissioned by the council to bring his inspirational magic to three sites in the borough. Watches and jewellery stolen during Breaston burglary

Erewash Police officers are appealing for help from the public after a burglary at a house in Breaston. The incident occurred between 5:30pm and 7:45pm on Tuesday 27th January at a house in Hawthorn Avenue. A number of items were stolen, including an Omega watch, a Raymond Weil watch, a ruby ring, and a gold, ruby, and diamond necklace, were stolen from the property.
