Male charged for impersonating a Police Officer

A man has been charged after an incident of impersonating a Police Officer.

Ben Holdrick was arrested on the 16th of March for a shoplifting offence the the Tesco store on Waverley Street.

Whilst under arrest, officers carried out some checks on the system and found that the male was outstanding for other thefts at the Co-op on College Street, and of impersonating a Police Officer on the 3rd March.

Holdrick appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Courts on the 18th March and was given a fine and a suspended sentence order of 12 weeks to prison and 12 months suspended.
