Safe and Sound, Derbyshire’s specialist charity supporting children, young people and families affected by child exploitation, has expressed its delight to an insurance brokers firm after it raised £4,175 through its Charity of the Year partnership.
Throughout the partnership, the team at PIB organised a range of fundraising activities including our Sky Drive in 2024 and events, bringing colleagues together to support Safe and Sound’s vital work protecting and empowering vulnerable young people across Derbyshire.
The funds raised will help Safe and Sound continue delivering specialist support to children and young people affected by exploitation, provide vital assistance to families and carers, and raise awareness of the risks facing young people both online and within local communities.
Tracy Harrison, CEO of Safe and Sound, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone for choosing Safe and Sound as their Charity of the Year and for the enthusiasm and commitment they have shown throughout the partnership.
“Raising £4,175 is a fantastic achievement and every penny will help us continue our work supporting children, young people and families affected by exploitation. Partnerships like this not only provide valuable financial support but also help raise awareness of an issue that is often hidden from view.
“On behalf of everyone at Safe and Sound, I would like to thank the whole team for their generosity, fundraising efforts and commitment to making a difference within their local community.”
Anna Fallows, Branch Director said: “It’s important that we support the local communities where our staff, clients and contacts are based. We were pleased to have the opportunity to raise money that will make a real difference to the young people helped by Safe and Sound and their families. The partnership gave our team a shared focus and we were delighted to support such an important cause.”
Safe and Sound works across Derby and Derbyshire providing specialist services for children and young people who are affected by exploitation, while also delivering education, awareness raising and preventative work within schools, communities and organisations.
