An 18-year old man has been arrested in Ilkeston on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of class A drugs. On Monday 24th August 2026, a Derbyshire Police call-handler received a call from a member of the public raising concerns that a male seen in on Bath Street appeared to be in possession of a weapon. Fugitive tracked down in Belgium is 100th Operation Captura arrest

Another fugitive from the National Crime Agency’s “most wanted” list has been arrested. Spencer Dillon Lamb, 33, was detained by Belgian police officers in a rental property in Brecht on Thursday 18th June. Drugs and a firearm were also recovered from the property during the operation, which was supported by the NCA and Derbyshire Police. He was previously thought to have links to Spain. A man has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery in Long Eaton. The incident occurred at the KFC restaurant at the Cross Street Retail Park on 15th March. Thomas McEntee was arrested three days later and was subsequently charged with attempted robbery.
