29-year old charged following a serious assault in Cotmanhay

A 29-year old man has been charged following an attack in Ilkeston on Friday 26th June. Erewash Police Officers issued an appeal for information after reports were received regarding an assault on Cotmanhay Road at around 12noon. On arrival, a man was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital. A 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were subsequently arrested and detained. Appeal for information launched following two linked robberies in Ilkeston

Derbyshire Police officers are appealing for information following two robberies in Ilkeston that are believed are linked. The first incident happened when the victim was approached by a man as he walked past a block of flats in Chalons Way at about 10:05pm on Sunday 31st May. An Erewash Sound presenter has been assigned to a group of appointees who are passionate about Cotmanhay, to oversee how £20million of Government regeneration funding is spent in the area over the next ten years. The hunt is on for locals to join £20m Cotmanhay board (deadline: 20th March)

A new body that is being set up to decide how up to £20million from the Government can boost one of Erewash’s areas is seeking local people to serve on it. The Pride in Place funding will be overseen by the freshly-created Cotmanhay Neighbourhood Board. Five local people are needed to help determine where the money should be spent.
