Death of Derby Doctor Daniel Hay leads to investigations being dropped leaving victims feeling “failed and disheartened”

The police have dropped all investigations into former Derby doctor Daniel Hay following his death, leaving his victims “failed and disheartened”. Former Derby doctor Daniel Hay, aged 61, from near Alfreton, died in April in the midst of criminal and NHS investigations into harm caused to hundreds of women over nearly 20 years. The Government has revealed the names for the new Derbyshire councils, which will be formed after the current 10 authorities are all scrapped. Derbyshire charity receives nearly £900k from The National Lottery Community Fund

Derbyshire charity, SV2 - Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence Ltd - which supports anyone who has experienced sexual abuse, has been awarded almost £900,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund. The money will be distributed to the charity over the next five years and will be used to help cover rent, IT support, therapy and behind-the-scenes office administration.
