New crime prevention project supports farmers’ mental wellbeing

A new safety project is underway to boost resilience in rural communities and help farmers to protect their livelihoods and mental health. Long Eaton Police Officers in day working with rural crime

Two Police officers from Long Eaton have been joined by a representative from the Derbyshire Rural Crime Team, visiting as as many local farms as possible, offering free Horsebox, trailer and power tool marking, using a system to protect equipment and deter thieves.
