Man charged in connection with an attempted robbery in Long Eaton

A man has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery in Long Eaton.

The incident occurred at the KFC restaurant at the Cross Street Retail Park on 15th March.

Thomas McEntee was arrested three days later and was subsequently charged with attempted robbery.

The 55-year-old, of Southfields in the town, has also been charged with burglary in connection with a break-in at a pub in Market Place, Long Eaton, on 18th March.

He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on 19th March.
