Derbyshire Police officials have released CCTV of a man wanted for questioning in relation to an arson attack in Ilkeston.

A man walked past a property in Quarry Hill Road at about 8:00pm on Sunday 19th April, stopped, pulled a lighter out of his pocket and set fire to a tarpaulin before leaving the scene.

The fire caused minimal damage to a drainpipe.

The man is described as being aged in his 20s or 30s with a ponytail hair style and was wearing dark clothing with a striped top.

He was walking with what is thought to be a Corgi breed dog at the time.

It is the second time the property has been targeted after three conifer trees were set alight at about 8:45pm on Thursday 19th March.

Although not the clearest of images (which can be seen on our website), Police officers are nevertheless hoping that someone may be able to recognise the man pictured.

Anyone who knows who he is or has any information about either incident is asked to contact Derbyshire Police using any of the non-emergency contact routes including 101, by using Derbyshire Police social media or their website, or by contacting Crimestopppers by phone or online quoting incident number 26*224345.
