Long Eaton community initiative gains charity status - Fiona from LESLA Alliance Erewash Sound
Police officers in Long Eaton are appealing for information following a robbery in the town.
The incident happened shortly after a man aged in his 60s and a woman in her 70s, who is a wheelchair user, left The Oxford pub in Market Place on Wednesday 17th June shortly after 11:30pm.
They walked along Market Place and turned onto Beaconsfield Street before arriving onto Stanley Street at 11.45pm when they were approached by a man who threatened them before stealing some money.
It is believed the suspect may have followed the victims prior to the offence.
The suspect is described as being a white man, aged in his 30s or 40s, and is believed to be 5ft 6ins tall with dark brown hair.
He was wearing a blue lightweight jacket and dark coloured trousers.
Anyone who saw anything or who has any information is being asked to come forward, particularly those any form of video footage.
