New national fire safety regulations will come into force on 6th April 2026 across England to strengthen evacuation arrangements for residents who may need support to leave their building in the event of a fire. Police appeal to find Ilkeston man wanted after criminal damage

Ilkeston Police Officers are appealing for help from the public to trace a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with an incident of criminal damage. Despite carrying out extensive inquiries, officers have been unable to trace 50-year old Dean Bryson who comes from the town. The hunt is on for locals to join £20m Cotmanhay board (deadline: 20th March)
