A group of men have set themselves the challenge of walking the entire Cleveland Way - a total of 109 miles - in just 4 days to raise money for the Friends of the Baby Unit at Derby Hospital. Major repair scheme for Harrington Bridge over the River Trent

Major structural repairs to Harrington Bridge which crosses the River Trent at Sawley will start in August, as part of Derbyshire County Council’s £70 million capital programme, which is delivering safer, stronger and more resilient highways and infrastructure across the county. Southbound closure for Tamworth Road traffic

Drivers using a busy route through one of Erewash’s towns face detours until December – as it becomes one-way while contractors crack on with giving Long Eaton a huge £10million revamp. Tamworth Road north of Long Eaton Station is already traffic calmed to encourage vehicles to use either Wilsthorpe Road or Fields Farm Road as through routes.
