Man in hospital after collision following chase

A man has suffered serious injuries following a collision during a police pursuit. Officers had been pursuing a Volkswagen Golf which had failed to stop on the A6007 in Heanor just after 12.15pm on Tuesday 8th September. As the Golf reached Hardy Barn in Shipley, travelling towards Ilkeston, it was in collision with a VW T-Cross travelling in the opposite direction.
