Erewash Borough Council has provided £227,955 in the first round of a new grant scheme, targeted at voluntary and community groups in the borough. Increased demand has led to four Derbyshire NHS clinics being restricted to “appointment only” for several hours a day, in a move dubbed “disappointing and sad” by an MP. New UK Civil Aviation Authority data shows more than 81 million passengers travelled through UK airports between April and June, breaking last year’s record for travel in the same period.
