Appeal after man is seen throwing kittens into the Erewash Canal

An appeal has been issued by Erewash Police officers after a male was seen throwing kittens into the Erewash Canal, under the bridge on Derby Road in Long Eaton. The incident was spotted at around 2:00pm on 9th March. 31 e-scooters seized during February 2026

A further 31 illegally used e-scooters have been seized by Police officers across the county. More than 700 e-scooters have been removed from the streets since Derbyshire Police began their ‘seize first’ approach in November 2024.
