Residents across Derby and Derbyshire are being reminded that urgent NHS dental treatment is available for people who need it, even if they are not registered with an NHS dentist. Latest data shows that 20,231 urgent courses of treatment were delivered by dental practices in the area between 1 April and 31 July 2026. Summer savings scheme helped families cut costs with over 14 million free bus journeys

Over 14.5 million children used the bus for free this summer, thanks to the Government’s Great British Summer Savings Scheme, according to new figures. Growth forecast improves but Budget must support business as 2027 downgraded

East Midlands Chamber has renewed its call for the Autumn Budget to ease pressure on business and incentivise investment, after revised forecasts from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) predicted 1.1% UK growth in 2026 and 1% in 2027.
