Disqualified driver identified after stop check in Long Eaton

Police officers in Long Eaton have identified a motorist who was driving despite being disqualified.

The stop of the Ford Mondeo on 1st June in the area, resulted in a vehicle and roadside check being carried out.

The driver was reported for the offence and the vehicle was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.

A statement from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Driving whilst disqualified is a serious offence that puts all road users at risk. Our officers will continue to proactively target those who choose to ignore driving laws and endanger others on our roads.

“If you have any concerns about illegal driving in your area, please report it to us.”
