Police officers in Long Eaton have identified a motorist who was driving despite being disqualified. The stop of the Ford Mondeo on 1st June in the area, resulted in a vehicle and roadside check being carried out. Derbyshire Police officers continue to seize illegal scooters on county roads, with 31 escooters confiscated in April - the equivalent of one taken off the streets every day. A Police patrol in Ilkeston led to the seizure of a vehicle which had been seen being driven in a suspicious manner. The incident in the town centre led to further enquiries and checks being made on the vehicle which revealed it was being driven on false number plates and was also in a non-road-worthy condition. Two Derbyshire Constabulary call handlers have been charged with misconduct in public office, following an investigation directed by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), over allegations they passed confidential information to criminals. Derbyshire Police officials have released CCTV of a man wanted for questioning in relation to an arson attack in Ilkeston. Man charged with illegally selling goods door-to-door without a licence

A man has been charged with illegally selling goods door-to-door without a licence. Roy Greasly of Brentford Drive, Mackworth in Derby, has been charged with acting as a pedlar without having obtained a certificate under the Pedlars Act 1871. The charge relates to an incident in Lord Haddon Road, Ilkeston, on Thursday 1st January. The 38-year old is due to appear before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday 30th March.
