SEND, social care, and road maintenance remain significant challenges for County Council officials

Tough new guidance for councils will end ‘patch up’ fixes and lead to smoother, safer journeys

Councils must prove they are doing more to fix potholes and future-proof roads under tough new reporting requirements issued by the government on 9th June 2026.
