Community groups in Erewash will soon be able to apply for a grant to boost their funds.

Erewash Borough Council recognises the fantastic work done by community organisations and the difference they make to residents. That’s why there have already been a range of successful Community Grant Schemes offering up to £3,500 to support local organisations.

These schemes will continue, but the council will also be introducing a new grant scheme using the Erewash Investment Fund. This would offer grants from £5,000 to £50,000 – so community groups can set their sights on even bigger projects.

Councillor Becca Everett, Lead Member for Community Engagement, said: “Supporting our communities is a key priority at Erewash Borough Council. We’ve seen the difference the money has made to groups like Devil’s Elbow Rowing Club, Glow Music and Art Festival and Arena Community, who delivered Christmas hampers for those in need. It makes sense to build on these successes, and we’re keen to see the projects that will be brought to life through this funding.”

The grant scheme will be open to voluntary and community groups or organisations. Registered charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations will also be able to apply.
