Essential reservoir safety work at Osborne’s Pond

Essential safety work will start at Derbyshire County Council-run Shipley Country Park next week to improve the stability of the dam at Osborne’s Pond. Eight Derbyshire council-run care homes have now been emptied and closed, with remaining residents moved elsewhere, after planned sales to a sole provider failed late last year. New fund to help Derbyshire householders with the rising cost of fuel

A new fund is being launched by Derbyshire County Council to support vulnerable households who rely on heating oil or bottled gas, with the rising costs of fuel. The county council is providing help using funding from the UK Government, announced in response to higher prices arising from the conflict in the Middle East. A record £60m investment to improve Derbyshire roads

Derbyshire County Council has invested a record £60 million in highways across the county over the past year. The investment is funding the council’s annual capital programme, including major long-term preventative maintenance designed to extend the lifespan of Derbyshire’s highways network.
