A record £60m investment to improve Derbyshire roads

Derbyshire County Council has invested a record £60 million in highways across the county over the past year. The investment is funding the council’s annual capital programme, including major long-term preventative maintenance designed to extend the lifespan of Derbyshire’s highways network. Arrests made following raids on businesses in Nottingham under people smuggling investigation

Two men have been arrested following a series of raids by the National Crime Agency in Kent and the East Midlands, as part of an investigation into a criminal network suspected of smuggling people into the UK in boats.
