Derbyshire County Council’s Reform UK administration has confirmed it has no plans to charge visitors and motorists coming into the Peak District National Park after the Council Leader had previously suggested the possibility of an entry fee. Local voluntary organisations in Derbyshire are being encouraged to apply for grants of up to £1.000 to become smoke-free spaces as part of the county’s ambition to become smoke free by 2030. Officers from Derbyshire have been working together with Derby County and the Premier League to kick off a programme steering young people away from violence. Derby County Community Trust has secured funding from the Premier League Kicks Police Partnership Fund to address drug-related serious violence among young people across Derbyshire.
