Grassroots cricket boost: £3.5k for 192-year-old club

Funding success will improve three Derbyshire libraries, two in Erewash

Three Derbyshire libraries, two in Erewash, are to benefit from a £440,000 funding boost announced on 14th April 2026.  Derbyshire County Council has welcomed the funding which will be spent on reinvigorating and enhancing its libraries in Alfreton, Ilkeston and Long Eaton. Parishes set to reap benefits of £360k fund

Erewash Borough Council’s new Village Investment Fund is set to support improvements and special projects for local parishes via the Erewash Investment Fund. A total of £180k will be allocated across all Parish Councils in Erewash, allowing each one to access the funding, enabling improvements for each area.
