Appeal made after woman's hand is bitten by a dog

Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Police Officers are appealing for information after reports a woman’s hand was bitten by a dog in Draycott.

The incident is understood to have happened on Station Road, outside the pharmacy, at around 11:40am on Tuesday 5th September.

The victim, a woman in her 70s, was walking with a friend when they passed a man walking with a dog, which is thought to have been a Rottweiler.

She reported that the dog bit her hand, and that she suffered a wound which she received medical treatment for. The injury is not thought to be serious.

The man wanted for questioning over the incident is described as wearing dark clothing and having a thin, pointed nose.
