Police officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team are appealing for information after reports that a flag which had been put up to mark Pride month in Borrowash was pulled down and damaged.

Damage was also caused to the ropes of the flagpole, on Victoria Avenue, sometime between 7pm on Friday 2nd June and 10am on Saturday 3rd June.

Officers have been carrying out enquiries and have released an image of a man they would like to trace as he may have been in the area and could have information which could help with.

While the image, seen here to the right, isn’t the best quality, officers hope that someone might recognise him and come forward.  It appears to show a man shopping in a local supermarket. He appears to have a bald head and was wearing dark clothing including a small motif on the left breast of his top, along with dark shoes with white soles.
