Police report a recent rise in theft-related crime in Erewash

Police officers in Erewash have taken to social media to report having seen a rise in theft-related crime in the Long Eaton rural area, specifically including Borrowash, Breaston and Draycott.

An appeal has been issued to residents of the three villages to ensure they are being more vigilant and making sure that security checks are being done, for example, checking car doors are locked, property windows and doors are locked and CCTV cameras are charged and working.

Officers said that they are working extremely hard to identify offenders and to ensure that all enquiries are being completed but asked for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage or believing they may know information regarding these crimes, to make contact via non-emergency routes.
