Derbyshire secures top national award for custody scrutiny

Derbyshire has secured a prestigious national award for the outstanding quality of its Independent Custody Visiting (ICV) scheme. The scheme, managed by Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts, has received a ‘platinum’ award – the highest possible grade in the Independent Custody Visiting Association’s (ICVA) Quality Assurance Framework. More than 850 e-scooters seized since new approach

Derbyshire Police officers are continuing to stop e-scooter riders and seize their vehicles after they have been seen being used illegally, as highlighted in a video featuring two recent stops made by the force's bikes team. Fugitive tracked down in Belgium is 100th Operation Captura arrest

Another fugitive from the National Crime Agency’s “most wanted” list has been arrested. Spencer Dillon Lamb, 33, was detained by Belgian police officers in a rental property in Brecht on Thursday 18th June. Drugs and a firearm were also recovered from the property during the operation, which was supported by the NCA and Derbyshire Police. He was previously thought to have links to Spain.
