Ilkeston Police Officers are appealing for the public’s help to identify a pictured after three people were assaulted at a petrol station. The incident occurred at the Asda petrol station in Nottingham Road in the town at around 1:30am on Sunday 31st May. Arrest made for drug and knife offences in Long Eaton

Police officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team have taken action after spotting a young male on a bike who was loitering and acting suspiciously on Wilsthorpe Road. On Monday 13th July, offices went to speak to the male who then tried to make off, but after a brief tussle, he was detained for a stop-search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. Derbyshire has secured a prestigious national award for the outstanding quality of its Independent Custody Visiting (ICV) scheme. The scheme, managed by Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts, has received a ‘platinum’ award – the highest possible grade in the Independent Custody Visiting Association’s (ICVA) Quality Assurance Framework. A 23-year old man has appeared before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates following an attack in Ilkeston on Friday 26th June. A Long Eaton man has been jailed after what turned out to be a complex incident in the town centre earlier this year. On 17th February 2026, police officers from the Derbyshire Constabulary Proactive Team and local Safer Neighbourhood Team attempted to stop a vehicle being driven by David Robinson.
