A hotspot policing operation that has delivered more than 20,000 targeted patrols across Derbyshire is now being embedded into everyday policing. Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team officers have taken part in a county wide operation to target drivers using vehicles without insurance. £145k ancient woodland damage

Police are investigating after protected trees were chopped down in an ancient Derby woodland. Earlier this month it was reported how “youths” damaged and chopped down trees,  which dated back to the 1600s, to make dens at the Chaddesden Wood nature reserve.
