A hotspot policing operation that has delivered more than 20,000 targeted patrols across Derbyshire is now being embedded into everyday policing. Operation Shango was launched in July 2023 to tackle anti‑social behaviour and crime in areas where we saw high levels of problem behaviour. Earlier this month it was reported how “youths” damaged and chopped down trees, which dated back to the 1600s, to make dens at the Chaddesden Wood nature reserve.
