East Midlands Chamber Chief Executive Scott Knowles said: “Ensuring transport infrastructure can handle demand and can be relied on, both now and in the future, is essential, enabling workforces to get where they need to be, communities and supply chains to be fully supported and for business to progress.
“The Chamber has been calling for transport investment to help unlock the region’s growth potential. It’s one of the policy asks set out in our landmark publication – the Framework of Growth – so I welcome this investment as a step forward for Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire.”
