Join the Long Eaton Natural History Society Wildlife Group on short wildlife walks around the local area.  For 2024, the walks start with something a bit different.  Aquabox provides safe drinking water and humanitarian aid to people affected by disasters.  This walk is to visit the Aquabox Charity and will be held on Monday 22nd April.

This is an indoor event.  Meet at 10:30am in the car park under postcode DE4 3QL.  For non-sat navvers, follow the A6 to Cromford traffic lights.  From Derby, turn left up the hill and from Matlock, turn right.

The Aquabox depot is in a small industrial estate on the right, just before the brow of the hill.(If you pass under the bridge, you have travelled too far).

The depot has a large sign outside and is in the far left corner.  Please note that the car park surface is poor and has potholes.

Your leader is Roz Adamson.  There will be a chance to visit Rose End Meadows after lunch, weather permitting - a short walk which includes two stiles to navigate over.  Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.

Cost £1.50 for LENS members, £2.50 for guests.  For more information, call Joan Breakwell on 07527 007280.

The LENS Bulletin is now available to download by clicking here.
