19/06/2023: Swift action has been taken after an unauthorised encampment moved on to West Park in Long Eaton as the carnival weekend drew to a close.
07/06/2023: Long Eaton police officers have released images of a man they would like to speak to who may be able to help with the investigation regarding a dog bite. 
06/06/2023: Community Networks in Erewash are run in Cotmanhay, the Petersham area of Long Eaton, plus in Sawley, Sandiacre and Kirk Hallam. The networks hold regular meetings for groups, organisations and residents, and aim to improve health and wellbeing by welcoming new members interested in: Activities include those regarding running or starting a community group, sharing ideas for community activities, finding out about those community activities and offering support to their community. 06/06/2023: The New Youth Café runs at St. Mary's Church in Long Eaton every Tuesday evening from 6:45pm to 8:00pm for 10 to 14 year olds and all are welcome.  Drop in, bring your friends or meet new ones.  Join them for luxury hot chocolate, toast, games, crafts and other fun activities.
06/06/2023: A regular series of walks is held across different parts of Erewash and you are welcome to go along for some light exercise and to see various parts of the borough.
06/06/2023: FIBRO ACTIVE is a positive & inclusive group for people with Fibromyalgia, CFS/ME & Long Covid. They meet every Tuesday between 11:00am and 1:00pm in the Petersham Community Hall, Long Eaton.  They also run Tai Chi and Qigong classes which are open to the community.
