Cyber Awareness for Erewash Voluntary Groups

A non-tech overview of Cyber Awareness led by Derbyshire Police Cyber Protect Officer Samantha Hancock will take place on Wednesday 3rd November from 10:00 to 11:00am via the Zoom video conferencing platform.

It is designed for members of any Erewash voluntary group, organisation or club who are purely voluntary and have no paid members of staff and to provide simple information and signposting to free resources to help increase cyber and fraud resilience.

The session will include:

  • Protecting your organisation against common cyber threats
  • Device safety and protection
  • Password guidance and account security
  • Social engineering
  • Where and how to report
  • Overview of National Cyber Security Centre free resources.
  • Cyber essentials accreditation
  • Cyber Information Sharing Partnership
  • East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre
  • Police cyber alarm free tool
