Image released in connection with alleged assault in Ilkeston

Police in Ilkeston have released the image of a man they would like to identify in connection with an alleged assault in the town.

The incident was reported around 1.15am on Sunday 26th September on the Market Place and detailed a fight involving a group of people near to the Shakers bar.

A man aged in his 20s went to hospital suffering an injury to his head.  Officers would like to speak to the man pictured (below) who is thought able to help with enquiries.  He appears to have a short hair cut or is bald and was wearing light blue jeans and a dark blue T-shirt with what appears to be a large semi-circle shaped motif with white, orange and red colouring.

There is also a call for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
