The Long Eaton and District Probus Club is a group of ladies who are retired or semi-retired and mostly professionals with members including ex-nurses, health visitors, teachers, business women and clerical staff.
Members meet in a private room at the back of the The Risley Park pub, on the first Thursday of the month except August, from 11:15 to 2pm.
Gatherings include a short meeting followed by lunch and then a talk from a guest speaker, but there are also monthly walks, an annual bake off competition, a fashion show plus there are also occasional trips out.
