
Police officers in Ilkeston are appealing for anyone who saw an assault in the town to come forward and help with an investigation.
A call was received shortly after 4.10pm on Friday 12th May reporting that a woman had grabbed a ten-year-old girl’s wrist.
The woman released her grip when a man, who was driving along Nottingham Road, stopped his car and intervened.
Officers are keen to hear from the man and anyone who witnessed what happened and has information which could help with enquiries.
