An ongoing campaign by Derbyshire Police to rid the streets of irresponsible and illegal motorbike use continued recently when officers from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Team seized an off-road trials bike.

This latest incident occurred following numerous reports, over a period of several weeks about the same motorbike being ridden around the town in an anti-social manner.

As a result, police officers located the bike on 17th April because it had been used to commit road traffic offences.

Posting a photo on social media of the bike tied to the back of a flat-bed recovery lorry, a representative for Derbyshire Police used a number of hashtags including #seized, #asb (anti-social behaviour) #s165 (a section 165 offence) and perhaps most forcefully: #nothavingitback
